We have 45 pitches for touring caravans / motorhomes and a
separate camping ground for up to 30 tents, all on flat well
drained ground. Electric hook-ups are available for low consumption
/ travel appliances. Sorry, no electric heaters or other high usage
appliances.
Facilities include an informative reception area combined with
small shop, a children's play area for under-12s and an amenities
block with indoor dishwashing and laundry facilities as well as
showers, toilets, hairdryers and a disabled / parent & baby
room.
At Auchnahillin caravan and camping park we have a choice of 10 static caravan holiday homes - available to rent, with 2 bedrooms to accommodate up to 4 people, or 3 bedrooms for up to 6 people - and one 2-bedroom chalet. NB: Most single beds are on the narrow side, so are more suited to children than adults.
Welcome to this friendly and informal family run caravan and
camping park of about 10 acres, only 8 miles south of Inverness,
with several other popular destinations such as Aviemore, the Black
Isle, Moray Coast and Spey Valley being within an easy drive.
Auchnahillin is also on the number 7 cycle route,
set in a tranquil glen with views of the surrounding forests,
hills and heather moors, yet conveniently located In the heart of
the Highlands, Auchnahillin provides a convenient base for touring
the region, being close to many attractions and amenities, and is
ideally situated for many pursuits or just a relaxing break in the
countryside close to nature. Half an hour's drive takes you to
world-famous Loch Ness, either its the atmospheric eastern shore
via the village of Dores with its shingle loch-side beach, or along
its western side with magnificent viewpoints.
Capital of the Highlands, Inverness, is easily accessible within
a 15 minute drive and offers all the benefits of a modern city
including excellent facilities for shopping, eating out and
entertainment. You can combine shopping with sightseeing and a
relaxing stroll along the banks of the River Ness to Ness Islands.
There is a wealth of things to do for
everyone! Children of all ages will enjoy a visit to Whin
Park with its miniature railway and boating lake.
