A day out at the Falls of Shin Visitor Centre is a truly fantastic experience for the whole family.
Open all year round, It's worth the one hour drive from Inverness through spectacular Highland Scenery, to see the Dramatic waterfalls and the famous, natural Atlantic Salmon Leap which can take your breath away.

See Madam Tussaud's waxwork of Mr Al Fayed for yourself as he graces the entrance.

Falls of Shin Restaurant
Opens daily for light refreshments, with seasonal home-made meals served from noon - 2.30pm (3pm on Sundays).

There is a breakfast menu available daily at the Breakfast Bar until 12noon. You can relax in the Conservatory, with panoramic views of the forest that surround the site.

Falls of Shin Gift Shop - for local, Scottish, exclusive and unique array of gifts and souvenirs. There are leading Scottish Brands of jewellery, quality foods and confectionery. 

Falls of Shin and Salmon Leap is a natural feature, a short walk from the car park. A highlight will be if you are lucky enough to witness the wild Atlantic Salmon as it battles its way upstream past the Falls to return to their place of birth and spawn the next generation.

The River Shin is one of the great Salmon rivers in Scotland, it has perfect conditions for the Atlantic Salmon, and other fish that thrive in a constant flow of fresh water.

Forest Walks at Falls of Shin 
There are a number of woodland walks suitable for all ages and abilities, through the mixed conifer woodlands of alder, birch, rowan, hazel, oak and huge mature aspen trees. 

Children's Adventure Playground is well equipped with play equipment for children of all ages.  There is also the mini-golf course designed to give everyone of all ages a bit of fun, with a selection of challenging holes to putt for - including one in the mouth of our giant salmon!

The Falls of Shin Visitor Centre is open all year round.
