Glen Mhor Hotel

Glen Mhor Hotel & Apartments is a boutique property that was first incorporated in 1920.  Boasting no fewer than 75 rooms, it is also one of the largest establishments within the Inverness region.  In fact, this is more of a complex as opposed to a single building.  All of the rooms are spread throughout eight different Victorian-style buildings.  There are a further ten apartments as well as a separate house for those who require a superior level of privacy.  As this hotel is located directly on the banks of the River Ness, it is also quite popular for travellers as well as those who are looking to visit the famous loch.

Self-Catering Holiday Apartments

All apartments are available with one, two or three rooms.  They are found only five minutes from the city centre, so travelling to and from will not present an issue.  Some of the amenities associated with these apartments (as well as with all of the other properties) include free wireless Internet, on-site parking and access to staff members 24 hours a day when necessary.  Complimentary breakfast, room service, daily housekeeping and even dry cleaning can be chosen by guests and these come at no extra charge.

Restaurant and Bar

Glen Mhor Hotel & Apartments offer a quaint dining experience for those who do not wish to cook in their rooms.  Nicky Tam’s Restaurant and Bar is equipped with an a-la-carte menu that offers up a wide variety of local Scottish quisine.  It is defined by a rather rustic appearance and thanks to the presence of a log fireplace, guests can feel free to sit back and relax after enjoying an after-dinner aperitif.  There is also a choice of 15 gins and over 90 different Scottish whiskies.  Menus are available for children and the restaurant regularly provides daily specials.  Patrons are likewise provided with a wine list upon request.

Weddings, Events and More

While ideally suited for families and couples, Glen Mhor Hotel & Apartments can also cater to the needs of larger parties such as weddings and corporate gatherings.  Hen and stag parties, seminars and business retreats are likewise possibilities.  The staff are able to provide further suggestions as well as to plan for the events themselves so that all requirements are addressed well in advance.  This hotel is only ten minutes from the Inverness train station; a nice touch for those who might not be entirely familiar with the area.
