Kinlochewe, Highland, United Kingdom

It is to be found at the head of the sealoch of Loch Ewe and south of the freshwater Loch Maree, a loch which is both extremely beautiful and reputed to have its own monster! To the north of the village, by the car park, is a First World War (1914–18) memorial, a fitting tribute to the sacrifice made by two sergeants from the Seaforth Highlanders as well as others from Canada and New Zealand.
Kinlochewe village sits in an area renowned for its geological features and.The International Appalachian Trail runs through the village following the route of the stunning Cape Wrath Trail. The area around Kinlochewe boasts some beautiful landscapes and is a wildlife haven, being home to some extremely rare dragonflies as well as the more usual Highland flora and fauna.
